CRUSH Wine Bar - Property Acquisition

Summary:

Crush Wine Bar is a luxury brand located in Toronto’s trendy King Street West market. The restaurant seats up to 100 people in the main dining room and 50 people in the adjacent bar. Crush also boasts a spacious outdoor patio for alfresco dining. Harvest Hospitality Group recently completed a successful acquisition and seamlessly transitioned the property into its portfolio.

Challenges:

Crush Wine Bar is situated in a competitive urban market, with a clientele that consists of elite and affluent individuals who value quality and a highly personalized experience. This audience values service and attention to detail, which can be challenging to maintain under an independent owner/operator model. The inconsistencies associated with ad hoc business practices, from staff training to management of procurement, had a negative impact on the property over time.

Expertise:

Harvest’s management team conducted an extensive assessment of the property’s performance and was able to identify existing challenges and opportunities for growth. Our team implemented our standard 100 day plan, which involves conducting a thorough analysis of all business operations (including service model, financial accountability, procurement management, staff co-ordination, etc.) to develop strategies which will allow our investors to realize a tangible increase in the asset’s performance.
