Restaurant Development

In January 2010 Crush Wine Bar & Restaurant was selected and purchased by Harvest Hospitality Group. Currently under the wing of Harvest Hospitality Group, Crush Wine Bar & Restaurant will continue to build on its past 8 years of success as the classic yet trendy destination of wine and culinary finesse for those seeking an eclectic wine and dine experience in the King West district of Toronto. The restaurant was recognized as one of the Top 10 Restaurants of 2008 by Toronto’s NOW magazine. Chef Michael Wilson continues to be inspired, developing fresh menus that offer culinary delights made from the finest ingredients. Couple great food with an outstanding selection of fine wines in an inviting atmosphere and you have the “Crush Experience.”

This 8,000 square foot factory-turned-brasserie seats up to 105 people in the main dining room. Up to 40 people can be accommodated on the outdoor patio during the warmer months of the year. Two private dining rooms are available and offer seating for up to 58 people, providing the perfect venue for intimate groups and social functions.

HHG CEO, Rena McDonald, recognized Crush as the clear winner in the search for a Toronto restaurant that would suit both the leisure guest and corporate client. Ms. McDonald cited several key factors for choosing Crush over the 30 plus other prospects that had been under consideration. Ms. McDonald is quoted as stating, “Crush Wine Bar & Restaurant has a well-established reputation both in and outside of Toronto. It offers a prime location in a growing restaurant hub and of course superior food and a dedicated focus on wine. These are factors that align extremely well with the Lais Hotel Properties Limited brands and will offer an ideal alternative for our leisure and group clientele.”

Guests at Crush can expect the same passion to offer outstanding food and wine experiences. They may also notice subtle enhancements that Harvest Hospitality Group’s expertise will bring to the establishment. Guest Chef appearances and new promotional practices are but a few of the planned enhancements under the new ownership.
